About Lee

Southern California native Lee began her grown-up artistic career after graduating from Occidental College with a Bachelors Degree in Art. She sought inspiration after graduating, and headed south, where she earned her Masters of Fine Arts at the esteemed Instituto Allende in San Miguel Allende, Mexico.

Lee has led a long and successful career in the art market, from her early original works to her magical and whimsical children's book illustrations. She has also worked extensively with magazine illustration, stationery design, designs for private businesses, and even tv commercials. More recently, Lee has developed a myriad of lines for the international giftware market, designs which have been translated into ceramic, metal, and fabric and have been marketed and sold all over the world.

Lee is always striving to find new and interesting projects, to meet new people and bring creative ideas to life. She has always managed to take loose concepts and transform them into beautiful visuals that contain the emotional depth of a story. Although illustration has been the traditional mediums for this sort of expression, of late she has discovered the power of design work and it's ability to subtly influence, to produce comfort and peace, happiness or excitement. "As surrounded as we are by advertisement and development," Lee states, "I feel awareness of this is a pivotal part of my job as creator to understand the ways in which even something as simple as home decor can have a powerful impact on one's serenity, sense of family, feeling of contentment, and sense of the past."

Lee is open to projects of all kinds. Beauty refreshes the soul, and the visual world has infinite possibilities!
